The Fohow ionic massager, or iontophoresis massager, combines the principles of traditional Chinese massage techniques of touching, pressing and kneading to cleanse the meridians in the eye area and overcome the epidermal barrier. This promotes the ionisation of the skin and enhances the effect of rejuvenating creams, serums and lotions.

The massager's 360° rotating, spherical massage head heats up automatically to stabilise the temperature around the eye area and create a pleasant sensation.

The ionic massager is based on the use of low-frequency galvanic currents to achieve the best results in beauty treatments:

To avoid excessive charging, unplug the device from the socket in good time;

Keep the ion massager away from hot objects to avoid malfunctions.

Application:

Before applying the device to the eye area, remove the contact lenses and cleanse the skin around the eye area. Evenly apply 3-5 ml of a special product (e.g. cream, lotion, serum, Yang-Sheng energy balm) to the eye area. Switch on the Fohow Beauty Device, select the "Ionisation" or "Light Therapy Heat" function to get started. Smooth and work the skin around the eyes slowly (if you feel dry, add a special eye cream).

Once the treatment is complete, carefully remove any residue from the face and the contact surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth;

Duration of treatmentThe recommended time is 10 minutes. The treatment time can be adjusted depending on the degree of skin ageing.

After each use of the Fohow ion massager, it is recommended to use a moisturising eye mask to enhance the result. If the eye area is dry, the treatment can be carried out after using a moisturising mask;

Recommendations for the frequency of use:

• for normal skin - daily;
• for sensitive skin - no more than 3 times a week, or adjust the frequency.

Operation:

A long press (2 seconds) on the power button activates the light therapy (phototherapy) and heating function by default and the red "HOT/LED" indicator lights up. The standard activity time for this function is 10 minutes;

Briefly pressing the power button switches off the light therapy (phototherapy) and heating function; the ionisation function is activated and the red "ION" indicator lights up. This function is active for 5 minutes as standard;

In operating mode, the functions can be switched by briefly pressing the power button;

In working mode, a long press on the power button switches the device off and the display goes out;

If the Fohow ion massager beeps during operation and the indicator light flashes red, this means that the battery is low. In this case, charge the battery without using the ion massager;

the red light flashes during the charging process and goes out when charging is complete;

When the battery is fully discharged (when the device cannot be switched on), the recommended charging time is 4.5 hours. Charging for too long can damage the battery;

Pressing the switch-on button is accompanied by an acoustic signal.

Contraindications:

• During pregnancy;
• in the presence of pacemakers and other electronic devices;
• for skin allergies and infectious skin diseases;
• for diseases of the cardiovascular system and blood clots;
• For infectious and acute diseases;
• at prosthesis and injection sites;
• in areas of the eyeballs, bones, throat;
• Skin areas with external injuries;
• Skin areas affected by dermatitis caused by cosmetic products;
• for itching, swelling, stinging pain, on areas of skin affected by sunburn.

Cleaning and care:

The Fohow ionic massager is household safe and waterproof. Do not use metal sponges, brushes, sharp tools, petrol, paraffin or other cleaning agents.

If the massager is not used for a longer period of time: Clean the device, put it back in its original packaging and store it in a dry, cool and dark place. Do not store the massager in places with high temperatures, near sources of fire or in direct sunlight. This can lead to breakage or discolouration. Do not use solvents, benzene or other corrosive agents to clean the device and its components.

Cleaning the appliance head:

• Unscrew the cover of the light therapy lamp anti-clockwise and remove the cover;
• After you have removed the cover, clean the lamp and the socket of the ball head with a damp disposable cloth, do not rinse these parts with water;
• Clean the head after use with a damp disposable cloth.
